二级教授,华中科技大学副校长,同济医学院党委书记,同济医学院药学院院长,国务院特殊津贴获得者,国家杰出青年科学基金获得者,教育部长江学者特聘教授,国家万人计划科技创新领军人才,国家重点研发计划首席科学家,国家重大新药创制专项课题组长,国家863计划项目负责人,“湖北省天然药物化学与资源评价重点实验室”主任,“武汉市天然药物工程技术中心”主任。获湖北省科技进步特等奖(已公示)及湖北省自然科学一等奖。2017年暑期,作为药学代表,参加了北戴河暑期专家休假活动,受到中央首长的亲切接见。
中国药学会理事,湖北省药学会副理事长,中国中药和天然药物专业委员会委员。国家科技奖励评审专家,教育部科技奖励评审专家,国家CFDA新药审评专家。国家级教学成果二等奖获得者,国家级一流本科专业建设点负责人,国家一流本科课程《天然药物化学》负责人。人民卫生出版社2022版《天然药物化学》副主编,Current Medical Science副主编,Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B编委,药学进展、药学教育等编委。
主持国家“重大新药创制”专项课题3项,国家自然科学基金联合基金项目1项,国家自然科学基金项目7项等。申请专利38项(已授权21项),发表通讯作者SCI论文360余篇(IF>10论文13篇,IF 9~10论文11篇),文章总IF 1915,被引7586次。
主要从事天然药物化学研究,从华中地区药用植物及其内生真菌的次生代谢产物中分离和鉴定了活性天然产物超过8000个,新化合物超过4000个,有药用开发前景的化合物8个;其中金线莲苷获国家一类新药临床试验批准通知书,实现成果转化2.4亿,指导制定了云南省和福建省等金线莲地方特色食品安全标准。
